Who we are

About our space

Lux Perpetua is a private artistic initiative established in Mérida, Yucatán, Mexico, since 2015.

The project was founded by a group of art and culture enthusiasts interested in contributing to the consolidation of the local and national creative economy. It is structured into three spaces focused on the exhibition, production, and distribution of contemporary art and artists: Lux Perpetua Art Centre, the gallery; Casa Lo’ol, the printmaking workshop; and Casa Framboyán, an artist residency program for creatives from around the world.

Casa Lo’ol is a printmaking workshop that forms part of the broader Lux Perpetua project. Since 2016, in collaboration with more than 50 invited artists and its operational team, it has developed graphic-based artistic proposals aimed at conveying ideas through the production of editioned works using various intaglio techniques on metal plates.

Located in the Itzimná neighborhood—one of the oldest and most emblematic areas of Mérida—the workshop offers artists an immersive experience that fosters a deeper understanding of the city’s traditions and culture, enriching the artistic processes developed within the space.
